Chapter One :Chapter 1

A woman was sleeping soundly on a European-style bed in the master bedroom with a deep frown.

The glass door on the balcony was widely opened, and the raging wind blew into the room as raindrops soaked the woolen carpet.

Boom!

Another soft thunder rumbled in the unpeaceful night.

Awakened by the thunder, the woman opened her eyes and sat up in an instant.

She jumped out of her bed with her barefoot as she went to close the glass door; her eyes were slightly dulled from the sudden thunder.

The white silky nightgown she wore illuminated her slender and pale arm in the dim bedroom.

"Madam," Amara Pearson knocked on the door and called.

Elena Palmer opened the door. "Is Simon back?"

Mrs. Pearson nodded and replied, "Mr. Watson just called and said that the Master will return at six o'clock. Madam, are you going to have dinner downstairs or...?"

In her dream, all of the past memories were tangled in a mess, making her feel dizzy and her head hurt after she woke up. Shaking her head slightly, Elena answered, "No, I'll wait for him. We'll have dinner together."

"Understood." Mrs. Pearson said and gently closed the door before heading downstairs.

Elena turned to look at the clock—the hands pointed at half past five. Waking up with a sweaty body, she decided to take a quick bath and headed towards the bathroom.

She didn't even bother to take off her nightgown as she stood under the shower to wash away her disappointment.

As she was afraid that the man would arrive ahead of time, she didn't dare to stay in the bathroom longer and quickly turned off the water before going to the wardrobe.

The water dripping from her body left drops of stain on the beige carpet.

This would be the first time she had dinner with her husband ever since their marriage, so Elena thought that she had to at least dress appropriately. She squatted down and rummaged through the clothes in the lower level of the wardrobe.

Before she could pick out her clothes, the bedroom door was suddenly pushed open, and the whole space was instantly invaded by the chilling smell of a male; a cold gaze then fell on her.

Elena's blood surged up to her head and her mind went blank for a moment. She then stood up and said, "You're back."

Simon Lawrence ignored her with a cold face. He took off his blazer and threw it on the bed. Then, he bypassed her and opened the wardrobe to take out his home wear.

Elena couldn't see his face under the dim light. She could only see that he was wearing an expensive and luxurious tailored suit, as well as the faint smell of a lady's perfume.

Elena was no longer in the mood to pick her clothes. She simply took a dress and bypassed Simon to change her clothes in the changing room.

The sky turned dark but the light on the balcony automatically turned on, igniting the whole room with light. Elena's perfect body loomed under the wet, silky nightgown; it was a deadly temptation. Simon stopped his hands and his eyes became cold.

Following his gaze, Elena lowered her head and suddenly realized that her current state was giving an ambiguous sign. Her heart tightened and she hurriedly covered her chest with the dress as she quickened her pace; however, Simon had grabbed her and pushed her down onto the king-sized bed.

The warm and soft bedsheet crumpled, but Simon only showed a mocking smile. "So, is this your idea to tempt me? Hmm?"

Elena bit her lower lip. Her eyelids drooped and her body trembled slightly. She resisted only for a short moment before staying still without any further movements.

"Ha."

The two bodies leaned against each other tightly. Simon's palm was burning hot as he gently stroked her slender waist. His thin lips moved close to her ear and concluded. "Elena, you are not professional."

He then grabbed her right hand. Under his guidance, her delicate fingers caressed all the way down from his earlobe, his cheeks, and to his lips, in an affectionate and loving way of a couple.

"You should do it like this... And this..."

Simon patiently guided Elena in a low voice like a mentor, until he brought her hand to unbuckle the belt around his waist.

No, that's not it!

Elena suddenly pushed the man away and glared at him. "Simon, you're disgusting!"

Simon did not press on further. He patted the dust from his shirt and stood up, then picked up the coat on the ground and continued to change as if nothing had happened.

Dressed in beige home wear, Simon seemed to be friendlier. Turning at Elena who was still holding her arms and shrinking at the foot of the bed, Simon's thick eyebrows slightly knitted and his thin lips pursed in displeasure.
